Northern Michigan Martial Arts

Martial arts in Northern Michigan is alive and kicking. Northern Michigan has so much to offer for its residents. Now it can include strong martial arts instruction as one of those key attributes. Martial arts in Northern Michigan is great for kids and very young children as well as for teens and adults.

At the Seung-ni Martial Arts Academy located in Traverse City, Michigan - residents from all over Northern Michigan are enjoying training in martial arts. The Seung-ni Academy offers classes in Taekwondo (a.k.a. Korean Karate), Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ), Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Anti-Bullying Programs and Women's Self Defense.

The Seung-ni martial arts students drive once or twice a week from all over Northern Michigan. For instance, Zach drives in for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu classes from north of Petoskey in Alanson. Kyna make the trip up from Cadillac several times a week for her Mixed Martial Arts training. Young Tai drives in from Bear Lake with his parents to take part in his beginning child Taekwondo classes. Students currently training at the Seung-ni Academy live all over Northern Michigan including: Elk Rapids, Fife Lake, Gaylord, Graying, Suttons Bay, Central Lake and Manistee.

Why are martial arts students willing to travel sometimes 1 to 2 hours to train in Traverse City at the Seung-ni Academy:
