Getting a Big Kid Body and Mind With Little Dragons
With school ending soon and summer vacation about to be in full swing many parents will be looking for something that will occupy and entertain their child for the next few months. Now, everyone is familiar with the usual options of soccer and summer camp but some parents want something more involving and something that will prepare their child for the coming year of school and work alongside of school. The Little Dragons program at Seung-Ni Martial Arts does just that; it's a great summer activity that can be continued during the school year and will build up a child's body and mind!
Little Dragons class is designed with 5 and 6 year olds in mind and as such the curriculum fits their needs. Every 2 months a new curriculum comes into play that includes one kick, one hand technique, one self-defense technique, one block, one footwork, and three Korean words. The disciplined learning environment that goes throughout the summer is sure to make parents happy as their child will never fall out of the school rhythm but will have plenty of fun doing the activities of Dragon class!
Little Dragon class isn't just a summertime class though. The curriculum always continues to rotate throughout the year so the students always learn something new. Dragon class also has plenty of fun games that rely on the techniques learned in class to keep children entertained. But perhaps most important is that in Dragon class the instructors put a heavy emphasis on paying attention to teachers in Dragon class and at school but also paying attention to mom and dad at home! This way, the students get reinforcement to what they hear in school but in a way that doesn't bore them, working well to make sure they focus at school and at the dojang.
